Palo Alto Networks sells physical and virtual next-generation firewall appliances as a one-time perpetual purchase, then licenses Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, GlobalProtect, WildFire and Premium Support as separate per-appliance annual subscriptions (each also sold as a discounted 3- or 5-year prepaid term).
